travel plans

When summer approach, I live out of my suitcase!

There must be some upsides to the fact that my husband and I are living so much apart, since his job keeps him on a plane for most of his time...
#1 is: I get to use his miles and travel for free :)
#2 (well it's a #1 as well) is: we almost never fight!
... could be worse.

Have you noticed the size of my husband's passport? It's not even expired yet, and he had to have a new one issued, because he ran out of space and wasn't possible to add more pages... now you get the picture of our lives, I guess...

In  few days, off to Brazil for five days following my husband in his business trip.
While he's going to make a living, I get to wonder around new cities, eat one of the greatest food on earth, tan, and drink coconut water on the beach...
Love Brazil, love the food, love the people, love the music, love the beaches, love the drinks, ... L.O.V.E.
I'm already thinking what to pack because with my husband I MUST fit everything into a small carry-on.
Have you seen 'Up in the air' with George Clooney? He's pretty much just-like-that (except the flirting thingy), and if I'm wearing some tie on shoes, he'll give me the death stare 8/

Once I'm back, two weeks in the city.

Then... back to my home town Bergamo, in Italy. <3
I'll get to see my parents, my doggies, my friends, eat in my favorite trattoria, the best pizza, and gelato, bike rides along the river, fresh vegetables from my dad's garden, and my mom's cooking (that's why I'm forever on a diet when I'm back to NY).

What can I say? ... Now you know one of the reasons why summer is my favorite season.

This is my special "Welcoming Committee" @ home in Italy... gotta love mutts :)
